Types of Home Gyms
gym_types4. Hallway Type Gyms – they are long and narrow enough so that only two people could walk comfortably abreast. Here the weight equipment cannot be used. The best idea would be to mat the room and use it for calisthenics or other exercises, and if the length allows, you can practise brief sprints across it.

odd_shaped_room_gym5. Odd Shaped Rooms
- if the room you plan to use for the home gym has an irregular shape, with different nooks and crannies with some closets then plan your gym according to the average floor space of the main area itself. The nooks can be used for storing various equipment, like lockers for clothing, barbell racks, water coolers, and plan to allocate the equipment mainly in the central area of the room.

garage_gym6. Garage Gyms - some people use their garages as places to allocate home gym. At first sight it seems that garage provides enough space for the home gym, but later you’ll understand that there are a lot of other things to be stored there (family car, household tools etc.) Take all this into account and try to free as much space as possible for your gym.
